Family Festival

Join us on February 20, 2023!

Coming soon! Native American Stories by Dixon Leavers will be available for viewing at Family fest at the Pony Express Museum on February 20, 2023. The full series will also be placed on our website for viewing soon.

The museum is excited to be included in the 2022-2023 inaugural cohort of organizations to participate in the Horizons Initiative. The goal is to drive in-state and out-of-state visitors to experience culture, art and the humanities. Our family day will be bigger and offer new and exciting experiences due to the Missouri Humanities grant. So celebrating children and families to come for a FREE day of educational, hands-on exhibits and activities while using the Pony Express Museum, Pony School and Pony Express Event Center will be an exciting day.

The first 600 children will receive free bandana. The first 250 families to experience the Pony School will receive a free book. A day full of family experiences on the Pony Express Campus. Join us from 8:30 to 10:30 am for a free breakfast of sausage gravy with biscuits. We will also be serving coffee or juice to drink. Following the Rise and Shine breakfast there will be old fashioned games to play with children. See you at the Family Fest!
