Museum Day, Saturday September 6th, 2025, at the Pony Express National Museum, 914 Penn Street, Saint Joseph, MO 64503. FREE ADMISSION. Re-enactors will be presenting history at the Museum during these hours: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and at the Pony School from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a schoolmarm.
Museum hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Cindy Daffron says to “join re-enactors for a visit through the era of the Pony Express and spend time in the 1860’s Pony School with a schoolmarm”. Come see the Native American display, mini quilt arrangement in the children’s play area along with the new animal display. The Dig Site of April 5th artifacts will be in the Pony Express Museum! Our Hall of Riders has a new rider James “Bean” Hamilton, come check out his history.
Be sure to visit the Goetz Museum/Dick and Mignon’s Soda Shop, 1224 S. 10th Street, as we are also hosting a free admission day there with Marek’s sandwiches and sample root beer floats! $20 souvenir mugs with root beer will be available as well. Come and enjoy music in the Board Room from 11:00 pm - 2:00 pm with John Tapia & Friends! Make it a day in Saint Joseph and visit other participating Museums
