On April 3, 1860, Johnny Fry, the first Pony Express rider, left the stables located on Penn Street in St. Joseph, Missouri, heading west. An electrified crowd gathered to see this exciting start of the new business venture. Now, over 147 years later, we want you to be part of another exciting chapter in the history of the Pony Express by becoming a Member of the Pony Express National Museum.
St. Joseph is heir to the rich history and legacy of the Pony Express. Many words come to mind when thinking about the Pony Express: Bold, Daring, Romantic, Adventure. Won’t you please help us preserve and share this rich legacy?
